Rosie – Elderly Pony Club jumping pony
21 year old Rosie, presented with hindlimb lameness, caused by a rotated hip. She also had a swayback, muscle wastage behind withers, and a lingering respiratory infection. After 2 treatments, her back came up and the muscles were more hydrated, her runny eye and nose had decreased. With subsequent bowen treatments, her hips were more level. An unexplained hard lump the size of a golfball on her buttock, also decreased in size by 50%.
In addition to the bowen, a 2 month regime on Norse equine herbs, made her muscles softer, she was less nervy and tense, coped with her seasons more comfortably, and was altogether calmer and easier to ride. She continues to have regular monthly bowen treatments as maintenance, and training mix Norse herbs.

Gem presented with a history of intermittently slipping stifle, causing him discomfort and a weakness in the hindend and lumbar area of his back. This would sometimes make his hindlegs give way. Consequently, he became an unwilling jumper for his young owner.
Gem had 2 blocks of weekly bowen – 5 treatments first, then 6 months later, another block of 4 treatments. Since then, he has not been troubled by his slipping stifle, is happy to go on long hacks, and willingly jumps when asked.

When Bonnie’s family first bought her, she was in a sorry state. Weeping eyes, runny nose, staring, dull and harsh nearly bald coat with no mane, unexplained lumps and bumps, muscle wastage along her back, from ill fitting saddles, and some prominent thoracic and sacral vertebrae.
After the 1st treatment, her coat was sleeker and glossier, and her barrel had filled out. After the 3rd treatment, she managed a full 3 day pony club camp, with her novice 10 year old owner. 3 subsequent bowen treatments, and a course of HRP Norse herbs, to assist with clearing her virus, and she didn’t seem to be the same pony! Her mane and hair had grown back, her muscle wastage had filled out, her prominent vertebrae could not be seen, her eye was bright, and her virus had cleared up.
